Morty's Delicatessen

It's a little out of my standard downtown lunch zone, and a colorful walk through the Tenderloin, but Morty's Delicatessen is the real deal. Walk through the gritty front door, and you'll find a comfortable spot serving classic sandwiches.

I had the Golden Gate Club, roasted turkey, proscuitto, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pesto aioli for $6.99. The crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside roll was stuffed with shredded turkey and proscuitto. The tomato slice was thick and juicy, and there was just the right ammount of aioli to make it slighty sloppy.
